Background and Objectives

CarboGrowth has been developed by Louis Carbonnier, a Swedish forester, who has spent 40 years advising on forest management in all parts of the world. When he retired in 2009 he set out to develop a software that will create a function that describes the growth pattern of a forest stand (same species, same growth conditions and same age) in terms of volume over age.

The function should be easy to use and it should be possible to base it on relatively few observations.
